3 Keys To A Cleveland Browns Playoff Run

Stick to the plan

If Kevin Stefanski was the head coach of the Browns last season, would they have been 3-1 after four games?  We can never really know for sure but their improvement this season is hard not to notice.  They have most of the tools they did last year, but with a different man steering the ship, they appear to be focused, poised and headed for good things.

Baker Mayfield still doesn’t look 100% comfortable, but his improvement is hard not to notice.  He is already more consistent and calmer than last year with some room to go. But the biggest change that continues to ring true is consistency, attention to detail and poise when it counts.

This was never more evident then in yesterdays chaotic 49-38 victory over Dallas.  Coaches of old would have panicked and started throwing deep the minute Nick Chubb went down.  Stefanski didn’t, he stuck to the game plan and kept running the ball and it worked.

Past Browns coaches would have panicked and caused their team to panic when the Cowboys went a furious 24-0 run in the fourth to cut the lead to 3 with minutes remaining.  The Stefanski led Browns didn’t, they stayed composed, with the game plan and it worked!
