In the game of Avon V.S. Avon Lake, Avon Lake scored the first goal of the game by number 25 Noah Logertman early in the first period. Avon Lake continued to hold the puck on Avon’s half the majority of the first. Avon Lake came out with a handful of shots in the first 3 minutes of the game but Avon’s goalie Alex Zurawski was able to keep the puck out of the net.
Avon then scored a goal to make it 1-1, goal scored by number 10 Caden Cerson. Avon then started the second period man down with 18 seconds left on the penalty and where able to hold Avon Lake to no goals for the remainder of the penalty. Avon Lake scored again early in the second period to make it 2-1 with the goal being scored by number 4 Landon Vanuch less than two minutes into the period.
Less than a minute later Avon Lake scored again making it 3-1, goal was scored by number 15 Kooper Nilson. Avon Lake’s number 4 Landon Vanuch scored again to make it 4-1 with no answered goals in return. The second period ended 4-1 with Avon Lake winning.
At the start of the third period both teams got off early shots in the first minute of the period but both teams not scoring. Avon’s Goalie Alex Zurawski saved 3 back to back shots to help his team get back on the offensive side of the puck. Avon was able to keep the puck on Avon Lakes’ side for a while but was not able to score.
Avon Lakes number 72 Cole Wallace scored the 5th goal for Avon Lake making the score 5-1. Avon Lake had most of the control of the puck on Avon’s side for the majority of the second half of the third period. The game ended 5-1 with Avon Lake taking the win home with them.
