At pick 156, the Browns take a potential steal in this draft. Mason McCormick is a natural guard with enough ability to kick outside to right tackle. He has a nasty demeanor as a run blocker and also happens to be reliable as a pass blocker. In 2023, he had an 85 grade in both run and pass blocking from PFF. He also scored an impressive 9.96 in the Relative Athletic Score at the combine. According to Tony Pauline, NFL Draft Analyst for Sportskeeda, the Browns have expressed a lot of interest in McCormick. He will get to learn from Joel Bitonio and Wyatt Teller while awaiting his opportunity. McCormick will provide much needed depth at the guard position.
