2023-24 NFL Honors and All-Pro Predictions.

The NFL is right around the corner once again, and the excitement is overtaking fans everywhere including myself. Last year, I predicted the NFL Honors around this time and I got one correct, as I chose Patrick Mahomes to win the MVP Award. I chose T.J. Watt to win the Defensive Player of the Year Award however, he fell victim to an injury and he only appeared in 10 total games. My Offensive Player of the Year and Comeback Player of the Year pick was Christian McCaffrey, and he put up an incredible year, as he put up over 1,800 yards from scrimmage, but unfortunately, Justin Jefferson took home Offensive Player of the Year and Geno Smith won Comeback Player of the Year. My picks for Offensive Rookie and Defensive Rookie of the Year were Breece Hall and Aidan Hutchinson, Hall suffered an ACL tear after a great start to the year, and Hutchinson placed as the runner-up behind Sauce Gardner. This upcoming year is shaping up to be one of the most eventful in recent history, as many teams are improving by the day, making the competitive tension legitimate. I will be releasing a new article in the coming months going over standings and Playoff predictions, so without further edu, please enjoy my Honors and All-Pro Team picks for the 2023-2024 NFL Season.

Most Valuable Player

Trevor Lawrence, QB | JAX | Clemson | Age: 23 | 6’6 215 LBS

Trevor Lawrence showed us who he really is in the second half of 2023, and I expect him to be even better in his second year under Doug Pederson. Lawrence led Jacksonville to the Playoffs in which they beat the Chargers and despite a horrible first half from Lawrence, he stayed calm and mounted a 27-point comeback for the ages before falling to Kansas City in the next round. Lawrence will have even more help this year as Calvin Ridley will be returning to action, and he will help Jacksonville win the AFC South. The obvious pick here would be Patrick Mahomes but I believe he’ll most likely get hit with a case of voter fatigue, so I’m all in for a Trevor Lawrence MVP campaign and a very successful Jaguars year.

Last Year: 17 G, 66.3% Cmp, 4,113 Pass Yds, 25 TD, 8 Int, 291 Rush Yds, 5 TD

2023-24 Prediction: 17 G, 68.0% Cmp, 4,655 Pass Yds, 40 TD, 9 INT, 305 Rush Yds, 3 TD

Runner-Up: Patrick Mahomes, QB, KC
3. Josh Allen, QB, BUF
4. Joe Burrow, QB, CIN
5. Jalen Hurts, QB, PHI

Offensive Player of the Year

Tyreek Hill, WR | MIA | West Alabama | Age: 29 | 5’10 185 LBS

Tyreek Hill is one of the best playmakers the NFL has ever seen as he completely opens up whatever offense he is on, creating endless options for himself and his teammates. Tua Tagovailoa was playing like an MVP before his injury, and if he can get back to that form, the sky is the limit for 4 time All-Pro Tyreek Hill. He is nearly impossible to guard as he has olympic speed, elite route running, and outstanding after the catch ability, his playmaking goes beyond the stat sheet and it’s incredible to watch. I expect Hill to explode once again this year and he’s my pick to lead the NFL in receiving yards while helping Miami make the Playoffs even in the stacked AFC East.

Last Year: 17 G, 119 Rec, 1,710 Rec Yds, 7 TD, 32 Rush Yds, 1 TD

2023-24 Prediction: 17 G, 122 Rec, 1,850 Rec Yds, 10 TD, 75 Rush Yds, 2 TD

Runner-Up: Trevor Lawrence, QB, JAX
3. Patrick Mahomes, QB, KC
4. Justin Jefferson, WR, MIN
5. Josh Allen, QB, BUF

Offensive Rookie of the Year

Bryce Young, QB | CAR | Alabama | Age: 22 | 5’10 205 LBS

Some people are worried about Bryce Young’s size, but I’m not, his talent is off the charts which includes his IQ, playmaking, escapability, accuracy, and speed. Young was fantastic in the highest level of College Football, so he’s used to playing against the best of the best. Carolina is a good young team, and their division isn’t the strongest so I believe the Panthers will win the division and make the Playoffs after a great Rookie year from Bryce Young. He was the number one overall pick for a reason and I believe he will prove it right away.

2023-24 Prediction: 17 G, 65.0% Cmp, 3,750 Pass Yds, 25 TD, 10 INT, 510 Rush Yds, 3 TD

Runner-Up: Bijan Robinson, RB, ATL
3. C.J. Stroud, QB, HOU
4. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, SEA
5. Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, DET

Defensive Player of the Year

Micah Parsons, EDGE | DAL | Penn State | Age: 24 | 6’3 245 LBS

Micah Parsons is going into his 3rd season and is already a 2-time Pro Bowler, a 2-time All-Pro First Team member, and also finished as runner-up in Defensive Player of the Year voting twice. Parsons has unbelievable versatility, he’s an elite pass rusher, can track down Running Backs many yards down the field, and can even drop into coverage. In my opinion, Parsons is poised to win the prestigious Award this year in just his 3rd season, and any Offensive Linemen who have the task of trying to block him, should be very scared.

Last Year: 17 G, 65 Tkl, 13.5 Sk, 13 TFL, 3 FF

2023-24 Prediction: 17 G, 68 Tkl, 18.0 Sk, 20 TFL, 5 FF

Runner-Up: Nick Bosa, EDGE, SF
3. T.J. Watt, EDGE, PIT
4. Myles Garrett, EDGE, CLE
5. Maxx Crosby, EDGE, LVR

Defensive Rookie of the Year

Will Anderson Jr., EDGE | HOU | Alabama | Age: 21 | 6’4 243 LBS

Houston was able to get Will Anderson in this past Draft, and he was easily the best defensive player in his class. Anderson is a monster, he showed us how talented he is at Alabama as he tore up the backfield of nearly every team he faced. Anderson, like his College teammate Bryce Young, has already played the game at the highest Collegiate level which is why I predict them to both be successful right away and win the Rookie of the Year Awards. This may be the popular pick, but I also believe it’s the right pick, because in my eyes, he’s definitely the favorite.

2023-24 Prediction: 17 G, 55 Tkl, 10.5 Sk, 12 TFL, 2 FF

Runner-Up: Tyree Wilson, EDGE, LVR
3. Christian Gonzalez, CB, NE
4. Jalen Carter, DT, PHI
5. Joey Porter Jr, CB, PIT

Comeback Player of the Year

Cooper Kupp, WR | LAR | Eastern Washington | Age: 30 | 6’2 208 LBS

This Award may go to Damar Hamlin as the feel good story, but the reality is, we truly don’t if he will play. Cooper Kupp was on pace for over 1,800 receiving yards once again last season before his injury, and I see him going right back to being one of the top Wide Receivers in the entire NFL. Kupp is almost a cheat code in Sean McVay’s offense, no matter what, he’s always open. Kupp is a special talent and before him, Jerry Rice was the only player to win the receiving Triple Crown, win a Super Bowl, and a Super Bowl MVP in a Career, Kupp did all of that in just one season in 2021.

Last Year: 9 G, 75 Rec, 812 Rec Yds, 6 TD, 52 Rush Yds, 1 TD

2023-24 Prediction: 17 G, 135 Rec, 1,720 Rec Yds, 13 TD

Runner-Up: Tua Tagovailoa, QB, MIA
3. Damar Hamlin, S, BUF
4. Breece Hall, RB, NYJ
5. Lamar Jackson, QB, BAL
