#2 Olmsted Falls
Overall record 5-1
Conference record 3-0
Why are they so good? I said it in the opening, With Rocco Conti running behind the incredible line of Dominic Rivera, Danny Reiser, Luke Ventimiglia, Colin Simon and Andy Voisinet, this team can put up yards in a hurry. Not to mention James Rosol doing an incredible job at quarterback to keep it all together and make several smart decisions along the way. Like I said in my preseason preview, it is not easy filling the shoes of a Charlie Ciolek, but Rosol has everything it takes to get the job done!
Also, while we all continue to marvel at their run game of Pinchek and Conti, you cannot ignore how dominant that defense has been as well. Check this out, they only let up 14 points to a two-time defending state champion team at Chardon. They only allowed 7 points on the road at Brunswick a division 1 playoff team from a year ago. In all six of their games, three of which coming in the division, they have only allowed an average of 12.5 points a game.
While it is easy and fun to watch this Olmsted Falls offense move the ball, the defense has become a major pleasure to watch as well!
Fella’s, it all comes down to Friday night against Avon. You had them on the ropes week two in 2020 and couldn’t finish. You had a lead in 2021, nearly 365 days ago, and a razor thin interception allowed the Eagles to soar away with the win. Can this be your year to do it?
