2022 SWC Power Rankings

#4 Berea Midpark

Overall record 3-3

Conference 2-1

This team is a few special teams plays away from being 4-2.  They led Avon Lake 14-0 at one point in the first half a few backs as well.  The 3-3 record may be mediocre, but the talent level and potential is not.  This is a team that graduated their starting quarterback and core receivers from a team that won a road playoff game last year in Brunswick, and they still look good.

They have a trifecta of players on the offensive side of the ball, that are fun to watch, and give them a chance to win every game they are in. Those are tailback Hudson Devins who is fresh off a school record as he rushed for 256 yards again Amherst.  Devins, is also a stud on defense and special teams.  He showed as much a few weeks back as he blocked and recovered a punt against Avon Lake.

Wideouts Austin Clay and Josh Medina have already proven to be a deadly 1-2 punch for quarterback Troy Shick.  Mix in the often-open Devyn Zahursky, and the Titans have a real shot to go on a run as they finish the season with Midview, Avon, North Ridgeville and Olmsted Falls.  I don’t see them finishing worse then 5-5, but as good as 6-4.
