Avon Lake Shoremen
2021 record 7-4
Playoff loss to St. Johns Jesuit 34-13
2021 summary – It was the best of times, it was the worst of times in Avon Lake last season. They graduated so many starters from the 2020 final 8 run, that no one knew what to expect from this bunch. They shocked everyone by starting off red hot 4-0, including a road win over Avon in Week Four without their starting QB Jeremy Dzik.
That is where everything changed however for the Shoremen, as they just couldn’t seem to get rolling after that win, as they lost the following week to Berea-Midpark and skidded to a 7-3 regular season record. Injuries hurt this team badly last year, and it will be very interesting to see how they rebound in 2022.
2022 Look Ahead – It’s Avon Lake, they have to be good, they’re always good, right? I wouldn’t count out the Shoremen and with several starters coming back, I full expect them to challenge for the SWC Championship with Avon.
Those starters coming back include OL’s Clay Broadhurst & Braeden Quigley, QB Jeremy Dzik, RB Jason Krukowski, TE Carter Sergent, WR’s Derek McCrum, Isaac Richardson, Matthew Stuewe and FB Jeremy Brausch.
On defense, both starting DB’s are coming back with Keegan Rudduck and Pepe Pierden. Also all SWC defensive end Avery Viancourt. They will also be stout up the middle with Caden Peters and

Dude if you are hoping for DVDs to return you are out of date. DVDs are a thing of the past. Look at your walmart how the DVD section is nowhere the size it was in the mid 2000s
They can just replace DVDs with Blu-Ray and 4k HD
The only part I disagree with you on is Avon Lake
As long as Kostelnik is coach Shormen will be a average team at best.
Avon Lake last 3 years went 8-2,8-2, and 7-4 (despite losing Q, RB and WR at times)….that’s not “average”
