2022 SWC Girls Basketball Year End Awards

Game of the year

Avon Lake at Amherst Dec 22

For a moment it appeared that Avon Lake had comeback to seal a big road win after a Brynn Bondar shot put them ahead with 3.2 seconds to go.  Then a wild foul call with 00.00 remaining sent Bradyn Silvasy to the line to attempt to tie and win the game for the Amherst Comets as they trailed by 1. Silvasy would sink one and send it to overtime where the Comets went on to win.

Avon Lake would win the rematch on February 5th with another wild finish.  This time the Shoremen led by 5 with under 10 seconds to go.  A three ball and a turnover gave the Comets the ball with 3.2 seconds remaining yet again.  This time they got a shot off but no foul was called and the Shoregals hung on.
