2022 SWC Girls Basketball Year End Awards

Sportswoman of the Year

Brooke Laub of Avon

Team spirit is a real thing.  After losing to Olmsted Falls in the District Final last year, Laub had the emotion written all over her.  This was a kid who truly cared about her teammates and her coach.  She has shined in big moments this year including recently scoring 25 against Berea-Midpark.

She has a true enthusiasm for the game, her teammates and the passion to win.  Laub is an example in the community for young girls to look up to as well.

Coach Larrick had these thoughts to share on Laub, “Brooke has been a tremendous asset to our program since her freshman year. She is a true leader both on and off the court. Brooke has a true sense of great sportsmanship and she has a strong character built around strong core values.

Brooke has been a great facilitator for us offensively, and she has a great competitive edge that leads us on the defensive side of the floor. Brooke is truly deserving of this honor and award. “
