2022-2023 High School Sports Awards

Girls basketball Player of the Year

Paige Kohler of Olmsted Falls

Paige Kohler is everything you can ask for in a team leader on and off the court.  She was a part of a magical run this past season that saw her Bulldogs reach the State Championship Game!

Her hard work, passion for the game, and knowledge of the game, shines through with every dribble, pass and shot.  Kohler reached 1,000 career points earlier in this season, and quite frankly, as I’ve said 100 times, she could have had 2,000 points easy if she wanted too.  Because of her unselfish nature, incredible teammates, excellent coach and team first community in Olmsted Falls, she continued to put others first which led to win after win!

Paige gets everyone involved on a constant basis and is the generator of the most high octane offense the SWC has ever seen. Perhaps my favorite thing about watching Paige Kohler play is her attention to defense.  She chases down every ball and never lets anyone get by her.  Kohler is the queen of chasing someone down on a runout and stopping a fast break. So many times, teams are desperate to score points on Olmsted Falls and think they are about to get a fast break lay-up when Kohler comes out of nowhere and shuts it down.

Paige, from everyone at Kee On Sports, it has been our honor to watch you play. BGSU is lucky to have you next year.  Thank you and best of luck!
