THANK YOU MESSAGE FROM VINCE MCKEE

What an amazing ride it was this year, to say it was challenging for everyone involved would be an understatement.  However, the student athletes deserved as close to a full season as they could get, and for the most part, they got that.

I wanted to say thank you and reveal something a bit personal in the hopes it makes sense.  In mid-2019 I found out my father Don McKee was suffering from Lewy Body Dementia. It’s an absolutely horrible disease, and is the scariest thing I have ever faced.

My father is my best friend, and someone who has believed in me my entire life.  By allowing me to cover your children and your players, gives me that distraction I badly need most days. You all don’t even know how much you’re helping me by giving me this outlet and distraction.

I’m not a Journal, a Chronicle, a Telegram, a Gazette or a “Dealer”.  I’m just a guy who knows his hoops and knows that these female student athletes deserve far more attention than they get. Thank you for allowing me the access to do exactly that.

The other presses I just mentioned do an amazing job, please don’t take that comment any different.  I’m simply making a point that I’m only one man rather than a brick and mortar. Hopefully one day that changes.

I wanted to take this moment to thank everyone who have supported Kee On Sports Media Group over the years.  We covered over 117 basketball games this season total, in person and via You Tube combined.  Your support was felt.

Again, thank you for the support and enjoy the awards.

  2. Beautiful way to honor your father, Don McKee! He is an amazing man, father and grandfather. This is a proud moment for you and him. Congratulations to you both.

    1. We can not thank you enough for covering our girls’ talents and supporting them! Prayers to your dad and family!!

    2. What a great way to honor your dad, Don. Who truly is a great man. I’m lucky to have the privilege to know him. I’m also privileged to know the award recipient Allison Milligan as I have had the opportunity to coach her in another sport she excels in – volleyball. Congratulations Allison.
      Thanks Vince.

  3. I just recently learned of KEEonSports and feel I have missed so much!! Your coverage is wonderful and your humor great! So glad I have 2 more grand daughters coming up to high school in the future. Although this season had it problems with COVID, you have kept things informative and interesting. Thank you!

    1. Vince What great job featuring SWC Girls. I read most of the articles and you give the players a nice out let for their talent. Thanks for what you do for the SWC.
