The Browns coverage at KOS is brought to you by https://keeonsports.com/sponsors/3/
The Browns come into the 2021 season with all kinds of hype and hope. Both of which are well deserved following a tremendous 2020 season that saw them make the playoffs for the first time since 2002. Not only did they make it, but they cruised past Pittsburgh on the road in the opening round, and then took Kansas City to the limit on the road the following week.
The division should be tough again this year, but I would expect Pittsburgh to worsen while Cincinnati will be much improved. The question mark is if the Browns can remain consistent and challenge the Ravens, a team they lost to twice last year.
The Browns will be loaded again on offense with a healthy Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt getting the bulk of the action. This team cannot win relying on the arm of Baker Mayfield, and if they have to, it will be a long and painful season. Speaking of pain, Mayfield must stay healthy if the Browns are to have any chance.
His play over the past seasons has been streaky, but if he isn’t feeling it, get him out. Again, the running game will be and should be the strength of this team. Don’t be surprised if both Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt both put up over 1,000 yards on the ground. They are two of the top 8 backs in the league. Also, if a young man named D’Earnest Johnson sees the field, expect to be wowed as the talk within in the team is that has starter quality as well.
The defense is my main concern. Will Clowney return to form, or his is career done? Our secondary is extremely shaky although I do expect Newsome III to play in his rookie campaign. The linebacker room was hideous last year, but JOK should upgrade that quickly as he is a steal in the second round.
I feel Myles Garrett will lead the entire NFL and once again carry this defense when he has to.
Injured or not, the Browns need to cut ties with OBJ before he ever see’s the field this year. It simply won’t work with him in the lineup and they need to understand that and move on before it becomes an even bigger distraction then it already has been.
I see the Browns going 10-7 this year,, in a bit of step back season that see’s them missing the playoffs. They will need to take one step back, before they take two steps forward. Which 10 games do they win and which 7 do they lose?
My official schedule predictions are on page two and my SHOCKING prop bet predictions are on page three.
some one will soon taste the rainbow
Joe Woods needs to find employment elsewhere.
I agree 100% Joe Woods needs to go!!
Get rid of Joe and take baker out to heal , front office should have gotten better back up before trade dead line
