2020 SWC Girls Basketball Preview

North Olmsted

They want to put last season behind them as quickly as possible.  With their best player in Mary Bloomfield now gone, they will look for the next young talent to step up and lead.

North Ridgeville

Amy Esser can flat out coach and she showed that again with an impressive playoff run last season.  Her bunch stunned Avon Lake with one of the most thrilling games of the SWC season to advance to the Regional Final four. Despite the loss of all conference All Star Lea Smith to graduation along with Laney Rumancik to injury, they will once again be competitive this season.

I expect very big things out of Daylan Baker this season.  She showed last year she is not afraid of the big moment or the big shot.  If you give her, Mady Rosado or Bella Ramsey so much as an inch in room, they are going to bury that shot and make you pay for it.

I’m also very excited to see what Freshman Grace Kingery and Sophomore Kat Crevda will bring to this team when they see action as well. No matter the injury big or players graduating, I can assure you, Coach Esser will have them ready to compete!
