If potential for greatness came in dollars, then the Avon Eagles would be millionaires as this roster is absolutely loaded. Returning seniors include Kiley Williams, Alyssa McLellon, Catie Geiger, Grace Santee and Alyssa Peganoff. Not to mention Abby Liber who is a junior returning starter. Liber is 5 foot 11 inches of athletic ability and has the talent to take over a game. I also expect a big season from the sophomore Brooke Laub off the bench.
As for those seniors they each bring a separate set of talents to the floor that should be the difference maker many nights. Alyssa McLellon, Alyssa Peganoff and Grace Santee all showed they have incredible range and there is no shot they can’t hit. Catie Geiger is a natural born leader with the calmness to lead this team during crunch time along with excellent court vision.
Kiley Williams was our Sixth Women of the Year last season for good reason. She has height at over 6 feet tall, but also incredible agility and attacks the boards after every shot. She has a hunger to win and the competitive fire needed in a champion.
There is so much talent in the ladies basketball and happy to see how much recognition was given to them! They are all superstars! Great job ladies! And great article Vince!
