They graduated Five senior starters a year ago in what was a loaded class. Lexy Alston, Faith Lewis, Amaya Staton, Anna Cairns and Aya Vicens will be hard to replace, but Coach Jay is always up for the task. If you recall, he is no stranger to causing playoff upsets and loves to bust up those brackets.
Look for Amherst to start five freshmen this season as the rebuild begins. They may take some lumps early on, but as the season goes on, they will improve just in time for the tournament. Coach Jay has his work cut out for him, but when has that ever stopped him before? The Lady Comets will peak when they need too.
There is so much talent in the ladies basketball and happy to see how much recognition was given to them! They are all superstars! Great job ladies! And great article Vince!
