In the 1st round of the 2020 NFL draft, the Cleveland Browns have selected offensive tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. tenth overall on Thursday evening.
A top-50 overall recruit, the 6’5, 320lb University of Alabama junior began his collegiate career starting in 11 games as a freshman on the field in 2017, and continued to raise the stakes making his ascent with 15 starts in 2018. Wills started in all 13 during the 2019 season.
The OT kept the offensive line strong, and will be a sturdy force for the orange and brown filling the void on the left. Free agent Jack Cocklin will man the right.
Wills will provide dominance for the Browns with his combine results recording a 5.05 40-yard dash, 34.5 vertical jump, 113.0 broad jump, and 4.84 20 yard shuffle.
Alabama Football posted following the announcement:
“BIG Dog heading to the Dawg Pound. Congratulations @JWills73 on being selected 10th in the #NFLDraft to the @clevelandbrowns”.
