2006: Smith Passes OSU Past Michigan 42-39 For A Trip To Arizona

Ohio State Football coverage is brought to you by Gables Search Group:  You can hear more about them here https://keeonsports.podbean.com/e/gables-search/

No matter the records or even in a season this crazy, the Michigan vs Ohio State football rivalry remains one of the best in all of sports. As we approach the big game in two weeks (hopefully), it is always fun to look back at some of the greatest games in the past between the two.  Perhaps none bigger than the 2006 version in what was billed the #1 vs #2 Game of the Century as both teams came in unbeaten.

Also, if you recall, this was before the playoffs were formed, thus the winner was guaranteed to punch their ticket to the National Championship Game about 6 weeks later.  I also thought it would be fun to write the recap as if it just happened, and not with hindsight being 2020.  You know, that way we don’t have to mention that pesky National Championship Game that took place against Chris Leak and the Florida Gators.

ENJOY the flashback on page two!
