They already suspended him once in 2020 and had fired him in 2001. Lawler is extremely expendable when you look at the youth movement at the announce desk for WWE. With the exception of Cole, everyone else is recently Vince created and pushed.
AEW is planning a third hour of Dynamite, along with a possible second show on TNT. Excalibur is awful, so the move to Lawler would be perfect timing.
