Ivan Koloff

In January of 1971, the WWWF booked Ivan Koloff to end the record long 2,803 day reign of Bruno Sammartino.  He was clearly a transitional champion as he would only hold the belt for 21 days before losing it to Pedro Morales.  As for Bruno, he would win it back in 1973 and hold it for another 1,237 days.
