He may have been big in Texas but never did much elsewhere and became a tragedy in the WWF.  Fans may find it hard to believe, but he actually defeated Ric Flair for the World Title in May of 1984.  He would only hold it for 18 days before dropping the belt back to Flair. He went on to never do anything again other than local fame.
